Model Pizzarelli Long Scale

European Union: € 2.550,- (incl. 21% VAT)
Outside European Union: € 2.107,- (excl. 21% VAT)
Shipping costs not included.

The Pizzarelli model is available with two different scale lengths, long scale 67 cm (14-th fret to the body) and short scale 64 cm (12-th fret to the body).

The short scale D-hole has 4 braces supporting the top, the long scale D-hole has 5 braces (same as in an oval hole guitar). These features makes a big difference in playability and sound.

The long scale version of the Pizzarelli has a 67 cm scale length and the 14-th fret to the body. The longer scale length causes higher string tension. That is why we choose for 5 braces to support the top. This results in very interesting acoustic features. It has the same ‘punchy treble’ as an oval soundhole guitar together with a nicely balanced mid and deep low range. The projection of the sound is optimal due to the big D shaped soundhole. The guitar has a very impressive volume. The photo depicts Wawau Adler on an Pizzarelli (long scale).

Optional

An internal soundbox is optional although Eimers-Guitars does not recommend this. The effect of the internal soundbox does not always guarantee an improvement or enhancement of the sound. Eimers Guitars offers several options like choice of wood, hardware and finish. The guitar is also available for left handed players (no extra costs).

Options

All models presented on the website are standard delivered in a specific setup like woods, finish and hardware (tailpiece, tuners, pickup and hard shell guitar case). The options presented here will offer you the possibility to make changes to the guitar according your personal preferences. Please note that the woods I suggest for the guitars (see standard description with each model) are considered the optimal combination. A change of wood may affect the sound of the guitar. Choosing any option will affect the price. The exact additional price(s) will be written down and presented to you in the order form. I am happy to go over your wishes and discuss the possibilities.

Wood for the top

All guitars have very closed grain European Spruce (see image)

Alternatives:

  • Engleman spruce

Wood for the back and sides

There is a large variety of hard wood and tropical wood available for building instruments. It is impossible to keep all these different woods in stock. Let me know what you are looking for and I will inform you about the possibilities. I offer both solid wood and veneers for back and sides. For solid wood guitar traditionally Indian Palisander (Rosewood) is used. Laminated guitars are made from 3 layers of veneers: an inside layer of Mahogany, middle layer of Polar and an outside (visible) layer of Brazilian Palisander (image 1, 2 and 3) or Indian Palisander (image 7 and 8).

Alternative veneers:

  • Birdseye Maple (image 6)
  • Flamed Maple (image 5)
  • Zebrano (image 4)
  • Coromandel
  • Other veneers: (call or e-mail)

Alternative solid woods:

  • Flamed Maple
  • Koa
  • Other solid woods: call or e-mail for more options
