All individual Eimers-Guitars models have a specific acoustic response. Model Amati is a good example of a different acoustic flavour. I received many reactions on my web site from arch top (jazz) players who are interested in playing the Django style. For these players I developed model Amati with the violin type F-shaped sound holes. The trapezium bracing is my own variation on the Selmer style bracing. It has a 67 cm scale length, 14-th fret to the body. The sound can be descibed as more sophisticated, delicately jazzy, and a bit dryer than the sound produced by an oval sound hole guitar. It has a nice balance. A guitar with acoustic features that lean a little to an arch top sound.

Eimers Guitars offers several options like choice of wood, hardware and finish. The guitar is also available for left handed players (no extra costs). On request the guitar is also available with a 5 brace, Selmer style, top and as a D-hole version.

All models presented on the website are standard delivered in a specific setup like woods, finish and hardware (tailpiece, tuners, pickup and hard shell guitar case). The options presented here will offer you the possibility to make changes to the guitar according your personal preferences. Please note that the woods I suggest for the guitars (see standard description with each model) are considered the optimal combination. A change of wood may affect the sound of the guitar. Choosing any option will affect the price. The exact additional price(s) will be written down and presented to you in the order form. I am happy to go over your wishes and discuss the possibilities.

Wood for the top

All guitars have very closed grain European Spruce (see image)

Wood for the back and sides

There is a large variety of hard wood and tropical wood available for building instruments. It is impossible to keep all these different woods in stock. Let me know what you are looking for and I will inform you about the possibilities. I offer both solid wood and veneers for back and sides. For solid wood guitar traditionally Indian Palisander (Rosewood) is used. Laminated guitars are made from 3 layers of veneers: an inside layer of Mahogany, middle layer of Polar and an outside (visible) layer of Brazilian Palisander (image 1, 2 and 3) or Indian Palisander (image 7 and 8).

Traditionally French Walnut is used for the neck on Selmer style guitars (see image). On model Quatre (Favino style) Maple is used.
